SCORCHING 33C heat blasted over from Spain will melt Britain this week as July comes to a sizzling end, express.co.uk reported.

A hot Iberian plume will blast many parts of the UK on Friday with most Britons experiencing temperatures into the high 20s. Traveling to Spain this summer might be tricky for some as Britons returning to the UK will have to self-isolate for 14 days.

But with a sweltering heatwave coming to the UK from Spain in just a few days, there is no need to brave the travel restrictions.

Netweather forecaster, Jo Farrow, said: “Iberia currently has heatwave warnings with temperatures inland for Spain and Portugal in the high 30s, even up to 40C.

“This very warm air will be pulled right up through the UK, peaking on Friday.”

Before Friday’s scorching temperatures, Thursday is also set to be a blistering day for some who may need to grab their sunglasses and SPF.

Temperatures on Thursday for the southern half of the UK will rocket into the mid to high 20sC.

Ms Farrow said: “The warmth reaches into northern England for Thursday evening.

“Jersey could reach 30C.”

The UK will stay hot overnight with London peaking at 28C on Thursday and only reducing to 20C in the evening.

The Met Office said: “By Thursday night the low pressure will start to draw up warmer air from the south leading to a hot day on Friday, especially in the south.”

By Friday, temperatures will sky rocket above 30C.

Ms Farrow added: “Most of the UK will see temperatures over 20C on Friday with Greater London and home counties most likely to see 33C.

“Inland southern and central England into the low 30sC also Manchester reaching 30C.

“Scotland will see low to mid 20sC with 25C for Glasgow. Wales in the mid to high 20sC, Cardiff up to 28C.”

According to the Met Office, UV levels will be high in most parts of the UK on Friday.

Thankfully there will be a brisk south-easterly wind over Britain to attempt keep the air fresh during the sweltering heatwave.

Northern Ireland will have a lighter southerly wind and south west England and Wales will have a light south-westerly wind.

If your planning to head to the beach during the heatwave it could be a bit gusty.

Europe's weather forecast

BBC WEATHER forecast high temperatures for almost all of Europe this week as many parts experience intense heat feeding into their area while a few are left with thunderstorm threats.

BBC meteorologist Helen Willetts told viewers that the "main story" across Europe is the heat. She noted that the continent had already had almost record-breaking heat this week in Iberia. That heat is forecast to spread up through France and into Germany, rounding out the weather.

Ms Willetts said: "It will push into parts of the UK for a time, and then eastwards.

"So the temperatures are going to be close to record-breaking.

"In contrast, we've got cooler, cloudy conditions with low pressure around across Scandinavia, quite brisk winds as well.

"More of that will be coming into the north and west of the United Kingdom during the course of Wednesday night into Thursday."

She continued: "Further south and east, we'll pick up some big storms again across the Alps and further eastwards.

"But it will be dry and warm across parts of Turkey and across Cyprus around the Black Sea resort.

"Some dry weather is in store further south across the Balkans, but further north you've got those showers to come.

"The heat is building all the time through France into Germany."

The weather presenter added: "So we've got a real contrast going on across Europe at the moment.

"As the showers feed into that heat, they'll become really quite sparky.

"Some of those showers will then migrate southwards into the Balkans on Friday."

Ms Willetts told viewers: "Whilst all the time, further west, we've got that heat building, close to 40 degrees in Paris by the time we get to Friday.

"Thursday and Friday will probably be their peak in the heat, before it moves its way further eastwards.

"We'll see the temperatures easing away for the UK and for Paris as we go into the weekend.

"But it stays hot in Iberia and Rome with a steady low 30s much of the time.

"That heat builds into Berlin as well; there could be a few showers around though as we saw from thunderstorms close to Moscow."
