NDO/VNA – Vaccinated travellers will be able to take flights between Singapore’s Changi Airportand Kuala Lumpur International Airport of Malaysia without quarantine from November 29.

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Malaysia Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) in a joint statement on November 8, The Straits Times reported.

Travellers entering Singapore under the VTL scheme do not have to serve a stay-home notice. Instead, they will be required to test negative for COVID-19 two days prior to departure for Singapore, as well as upon arrival in Singapore.

The two prime ministers spoke on the phone on November 8, and agreed that it is timely to progressively resume cross-border travel in a safe manner.

Singapore had earlier announced VTLs with 13 other countries, including Brunei, Australia, Canada, Germany, the UK and the US.
