NDO – A ceremony was held at the beach square in Sam Son City in the north central province of Thanh Hoa on April 13 to celebrate the 115th anniversary of Sam Son tourism and open the 2022 Sea Tourism Festival.

The event was attended by former Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee Do Minh Tuan noted that Sam Son has been always identified as an important tourist city which should be prioritised for investment and development.

He also said that in recent years, the urban technical infrastructure in Sam Son has seen synchronous and modern investment; many major projects have been completed and put into operation; and the culture in tourism has witnessed changes in a more professional, safe and friendly manner.

Within the ceremony, a six-chapter art programme honoured the culture and history of Sam Son as well as the positive and strong changes in urban appearance and the quality of the city’s tourism.

A 15-minute low-altitude firework display brought visitors an impressive artistic experience.
