Saigon parish lights up Christmas lights

At the beginning of December, people in religious hamlets in Ho Chi Minh City together decorate their houses and neighborhoods to prepare for the coming Christmas.

On the eve of Christmas, Pham The Hien religious village in District 8 decorated caves and miniatures, attracting many people to visit.

The villages shimmering in the lights spread around every corner, creating a unique feature for Saigon. As noted by Tuoi Tre Online, in the religious hamlets in District 8, District 4, Go Vap District… filled with Christmas atmosphere. 

People in 5 parishes of Pham The Hien parish, District 8 are busy completing the final decorations to prepare for Christmas. The religious village in Go Vap is equally bustling. On the Le Duc Tho route, there are more than 600m of twinkling lights in the night. 

Mr. Hoang Trong Thong (Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City) shared: “This stretch of road is focused on doing in one day, this year the parish has a new point in decoration, which is to use popular materials. making huts, windmills…representing Vietnamese cultural traditions. Currently, the pre-Christmas preparations have been completed 80%, people are still continuing to complete the rest.”

At Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street (District 5, Ho Chi Minh City), shops selling Christmas decorations began to attract customers, people came to choose a few items to decorate their Christmas trees.
