According to information from the ranger unit of Meo Vac district, in addition to the uniqueness of nature when creating that vertical cliff, in Tu San canyon, there is also a colony of moldy monkeys estimated at 30–40 individuals. They live on craggy cliffs or hide in dense groves of trees. The diet of moldy monkeys is usually fruit, cereals and some small invertebrates, occasionally eating beetles or larvae, possibly lizards.

Monkeys are active during the day, so if you’re lucky, you can catch them while sailing on the Nho Que river. People here often get twigs or rocks thrown by moldy monkeys when fishing on a moonlit night in Tu San Canyon. Because of living on such steep cliffs, this group of mold monkeys is not threatened by human hunting activities.
