Celebrate Christmas in a European-style cafe

HANOI – Classic European-style cafes are suitable for gathering with friends on a cozy Christmas.

“The bell now hums / Hey, remember to stop by when you pass by the Lake” is the greeting of Cafe de Khanh , located at 16 Bao Khanh Street, near the Cathedral. The restaurant follows the French classic style, clearly shown through the signboard, doors, wall tiles, tables, and chairs.

The shop has been decorated for Christmas since the end of November. The main colors of the shop are red and yellow, suitable for checking in warm-colored photos for the Christmas season. The shop has two booths, many corners to take pictures of. The most beautiful is the table next to the window overlooking Bao Khanh street. Above the shop is the homestay service.

Drinks are priced from 29,000 to 50,000 VND, including coffee and tea. In which, “Khanh fat” and “Khanh pretty… faint”, “Khanh Diep” are 3 suggested drinks when coming to the shop. To take beautiful photos here, visitors can refer to beige, brown, and red colors. The minus point of the restaurant is that the parking space is limited. However, you can combine parking on the side of the road for 10,000 VND, after enjoying the drink, you can walk to Nha Tho Street to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere.

Also located near the Cathedral is Ong Ong Bistro at 58 Au Trieu. In the midst of countless cafes with large spaces, Ong Ong, although small in size, is still captivated by its lovely appearance and full of Christmas atmosphere. However, the shop is a bit sunken if you go through during the day, at night when the lights are on, it will be shimmering and easier to find.

The restaurant consists of one floor and a mezzanine. Currently, the shop has decorated for Christmas to serve the photography needs of diners. The decor of the cafe is reminiscent of a coffee shop in a wine-growing region in Italy.

Every evening, from about 18:30 to 19:00, the shop shows black and white movies. Resonating with classical music and hundreds of classic paintings on the wall, visitors seem to be transported to Europe with many romantic qualities.

The cafe’s coffee drink menu is priced from 30,000 to 160,000 VND. In which, Ong Cafe (fat cream coffee) and Say cheese cafe (cheese coffee) are chosen by many guests. These two drinks are easy to drink, sweet, suitable for the Christmas atmosphere.

If you can’t drink coffee, you can visit Floralia – Tearoom and Wine Bistro with a wide selection of fruit teas and food options. To enter the shop, visitors park their car at Thong Nhat park, then go through a small alley at 114 Tue Tinh to go to the shop on the 2nd floor. If viewed from the street, Floralia is quite submerged with only one small sign, But going to the 2nd floor, you may be surprised with the large area of the shop. The shop has Christmas decorations right from the area of the stairs going up and the door.

The shop is meticulously decorated to bring the most authentic European sound. This also helps diners feel more clearly about the art of enjoying Western tea. Every decorative detail such as pictures, fireplaces, tables and chairs, and light colors are cozy, making guests feel like they are visiting a friend’s house, and that is also the motto of the restaurant. The shop has a total of 2 floors, a balcony, and many spaces. Previously, the shop used to be the home of the late painter Linh Chi.

Currently, visitors here can borrow European princess costumes to take photos. Drinks here are mainly tea, priced at 40,000 – 80,000 VND. Food includes pastries and pastas and sandwiches. Follow vnexpress
