Vietnam won the “Asia’s Leading Destination” award at the World Travel Awards 2021.

The World Travel Awards, known as the Oscars of the tourism industry, selected Vietnam to become Asia’s Leading Destination, surpassing Indonesia, Thailand, Nepal and Laos. . The winning countries are voted on by experts in the tourism industry and the public.

This is the title Vietnam has won in 2019 and 2018. From March 2020, Vietnam is still closed to international tourism due to Covid-19, which is expected to open from the end of November.

In addition to the title of “Asia’s Leading Destination”, Vietnam was also honored as “Asia’s Leading Sustainable Tourism Destination” (Asia’s Leading Sustainable Tourism Destination) and the National Administration of Tourism received the title “Tourism Management Agency”.
