Nam Du archipelago consists of 20 small islands, belonging to An Thoi Commune and Nam Du Commune, Kien Hai District, Kien Giang Province, according to VOV.

From Rach Gia Port, it would take 2 hours to go by motorboat to reach Cu Tron Island, the largest island in Nam Du archipelago, often known as Hon Lon (Big Island). Besides, there are other small islands such as Hon Mau, Hon Dau, Hon Tre, Hon Bo Dap, etc.

According to the legend, King Gia Long picked this beach as the stop destination. That’s why it is called Bai Ngu “Ngu Beach”. It is a special place in Nam Du archipelago. In the dry season, while the other regions suffer from a severe shortage of water, Ngu Beach is still full of freshwater.

A few years ago, a "whale" giant whale came along ashore. As mainly depend on fishing, the indigenous worship the whale which is believed to bring fishermen good lucks. Going to Nam Du Archipelago, you will have opportunities to sample diverse and delicious seafood such as clams, oysters, grilled sea urchin, and steamed squid with ginger.

Nam Du has two main seasons namely the dry one lasting from December to March and the rainy one from April to November. The best time to visit is the dry season as the seas are calm, the temperature is comfortable and the weather is stable. Therefore, you can freely take part in interesting activities like snorkeling, hiking, and trekking as well as camping.

As an off-a-beaten-track archipelago without much the impact of tourism exploration, there are not many accommodations for you to choose from. Nevertheless, you can stay at bungalows, guesthouses, and motels. For those who travel with a modest budget, you can go for guesthouses and motels. Meanwhile, the beach-front bungalows are at a higher price; though, they have breath-taking views for you to capture the best photos, according to Vietnam Discovery.
