During the war, the people were evacuated, the pagoda was close to the western station, so the scene of the pagoda was even more desolate. In 1967, the battalion of engineers broke the cave open at about 8 m in place of the cave door to hide documents for convenient stone quarrying on the outside to build a protective wall to cover the cave door. Hang Pagoda is Do Son’s great natural creation pagoda, according to tradition dating back to BC. New pagoda
Through many times of restoration due to degradation, now the new Hang Pagoda in Do Son has been moved to a location about 100m away, with 3 massive floors, different from the traditional pagoda in Vietnam.
