During one time she was washing dishes at the river’s edge when she suddenly found that there were many pangasius fish around, seeing that she took rice to feed them. A few days later, they gradually increased, and nowadays the number of pangas that her family is “raising” is about 8,000 fish of all sizes.

The estimated weight is about 15-20 tons. In addition to the common white pangasius, Mrs. Mai’s special fish has 20 black pangasia and 2 pink pangasius fish. Especially in the early morning, there are fish with both sesame seeds and catfish coming to begging. According to Ms. Mai’s conjecture, “These fish are wild river fish, maybe because they were released before because there are no fishponds around here and I have not heard from where the fish pond is broken. The canal is quite long, but for some reason, they only reside at my waterfront. ”

Every day, Mrs. Mai feeds her fish 4 times. The herd of fish is only vegetarian with a diet of fish including food and vegetables of all kinds. In particular, they love to eat water spinach. On average, each day they eat 4 bags of food and 50kg of water spinach mixed with rice. Not only that, “these fish are also very instinctive, although the boats are close, they do not flinch, but when they get a little” electrified “they quickly hide in the water hyacinths, even jump on the bridge to escape” Ms. Mai shared.

Also according to the owner, there was once about 20m from her river wharf, someone caught fish, but strangely for many days, everything from releasing nets to fishing but still no pangasius stuck. At that time, she said idly, “staying near the house, not at home, but swimming away for people to catch”. Yet since then, the fish just swam around her family’s river. The fish flocked to visit many people suddenly thought that it was the predestination of Mrs. Mai’s family with them. From the day the fish came to live, Ms. Mai’s river wharf always came to visit and feed the fish.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang, living in Phu Tho commune, said he sold goods through many communes in Phu Tan district, but only Mrs. Mai’s house had this phenomenon. Every time he came to, he fed them, whether the water was high or the water close to them, they were around the riverside of Mrs. Mai’s house.
