Botanical Garden in the eyes of Vietnamese – Korean couple

HO CHI MINH CITY Saigon’s oldest zoo becomes poetic and romantic in the photo series of Thao Phuong and her boyfriend.

Nguyen Thao Phuong (1998) and her lover Choi Sangyong (1991) got to know each other while Phuong lived in Korea and moved back to Vietnam from 2019. On holidays or weekends, the couple often travel together around Vietnam.

Recently, during a visit to Ho Chi Minh City, they took photos at the Zoo and Botanical Garden and posted them on social networks. The post attracts nearly 9,000 likes and hundreds of comments and shares. Many people were surprised with the new angles of photos at the Zoo and Botanical Garden.

This is Sangyong’s first visit to a zoo in Vietnam. He said: “When I was a child, I used to go to a zoo in Korea, but for so long, I don’t remember anything. It turns out that this is the first time I went to the zoo when I was older. I was able to visit another country, so it was quite interesting.

Thao Phuong used to come to Thu Le Park in Hanoi and learned about the Zoo and Botanical Garden before doing the photo shoot. “I was surprised to find the zoo so clean. There are many trees here, so even though Ho Chi Minh City is very sunny, the air is still cool ”, she added.

Both said they were surprised to see that the zoo had both flamingos and peacocks. The word inserted in the picture is the word sarang, which means “love” in Vietnamese.

Memorable memory with the couple when taking the photoshoot is the failed photoshoot with an elephant. “The first time there were a lot of visitors coming to see elephants, so I couldn’t take it. The second time there was no one, I posed as soon as the elephant left. We were able to laugh out loud ”, Thao Phuong said.

Sharing her photography experience, Phuong said that wearing light and light colors would be suitable for the scenery in the park. In addition to taking photos with animals, she suggested a shooting angle at flower gardens, cactus gardens, lakeside … “Just pose naturally. Walking together, smiling, looking towards the beast or far away, the two of them will take pictures, ”said Phuong.
