Green Travel - Web page promoting Vietnamese sustainable tourism in international markets

Nhan Dan online - The Vietnam National Tourism Administration (ANTV) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in cooperation with the Vietnam Tourism Advisory Council (TAB) and the Swiss Sustainable Tourism Program ( SSTP), has launched a new “Green Travel” webpage on the official Vietnam Tourism website for foreigners at: www.vietnam.travel/sustainability.

On the Green Travel web page, Internet users will find articles presenting responsible tourism, Vietnamese customs and habits, promoting attractive destinations but still little known to tourists.

To facilitate the search for travelers, Green Travel offers a comprehensive list of recognized sustainable tourism products in Vietnam. Internet users can find tourism routes that are responsible for the community and the environment.

In addition, there are articles on sustainable housing such as stilt houses, native houses, hotels, handmade souvenir products, fabrics…. Green Travel also provides infographic maps of sustainable tourism in Vietnam, in-depth articles on ethnic minorities and traditional craft villages.

The “Green Travel” webpage has compiled reputable sustainable travel agencies to help tourists maximize their planning.

The Green Travel web page aims to initially support sustainable tourism businesses, tourists interested in this form of tourism to help them first seek information and prepare for a trip to Vietnam when tourism international is reopened.

In the coming times, the website www.vietnam.travel will post videos promoting better sustainable products, run contests on social networks Facebook, Instagram (@vietnamtourismboard, with awards for sustainable products and travel.

Recently, the National Tourism Administration of Vietnam launched a “Virtual Vietnam” website which provides information to encourage tourists to explore Vietnam at home while the country still closes its borders to foreign tourists.
