|The rice terraces of Sa Pa have been ranked among the seven most beautiful in Asia and the world by the readers of the American magazine "Travel and Leisure".|
The plots of golden rice fields are even more miraculous when the clouds float peacefully in the sky. The lands of the Northwest captivate all who visit, they remain fascinated forever.
During the harvest season, the golden yellow of the rice fields covers everything from the mountain slopes to the Red River. The golden road formed by mature rice winds around slopes and mountains as far as the eye can see.
The best time to admire its beautiful landscapes oscillates between early September and late October.
The commune of Y Ty of the district of Bat Xat and the capital of Sa Pa, both located in the province of Lao Cai, and the district of Mu Cang Chai in the province of Yen Bai leave in this season unforgettable memories of bucolic beauty. The Sa Pa rice terraces have been ranked among the seven most beautiful in Asia and the world by readers of US magazine Travel and Leisure .
The rice terraces follow the curves of the mountains around the villages of Cat Cat, Ta Van, Lao Chai and Ta Phi. They reveal their magnificence from all angles.

To get there from Hanoi, visitors can take the bus, train or book a minibus to Sapa. The journey takes between five and eight hours. But the best way to get around Sa Pa is without doubt by motorbike. You can hire one in the capital to explore the slopes of the region and immerse yourself in the fragrant scent of mature rice.
If you are already in Sa Pa, it only takes a little effort to get to Y Ty in the Bat Xat district. The long, winding roads winding the side of the mountains are a challenge for bikers, but the rewards are only greater.
Once there, all you have to do is enjoy the scenic beauty and admire the white clouds contrasting with the deep blue sky, the green of the forests on the mountains and the golden crops.
|It is harvest season in the mountains of Y Ty.|
Perched at an altitude of 2000 m, each year when the rice ripens, the region wakes up after a long sleep. On the road, you can rise above the clouds that were previously hanging much lower, clinging to a field. Life at Y Ty is quiet all year round, even during the most touristic time of the year.
Residents of the northern Bac Ha district in Lao Cai province also produce young rice. It can be eaten raw or cooked in the form of sticky rice or puffed rice cakes. Hot tea and young rice accompany you on your journey, as you capture the changing seasons from the top of the mountain.
All you need to enjoy the grandiose landscapes of the Northwest is your motorbike. It is of course necessary these days to equip yourself with hand sanitizer and face masks.
The picturesque golden season, fresh cut rice and fresh, hand-picked vegetables from the mountain gardens await you.
