Exhibition of artifacts and documents on the August Revolution
The Vietnam Military History Museum cooperated on August 18 with the Department of State Documents and Archives, the Vietnam National History Museum to organize the exhibition titled “August Revolution - A Historic Landmark”, this on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of September 2. The exhibition takes place in a large space with 3 galleries on the first floor of the Vietnam Military History Museum, 28A Dien Bien Phu Street, Ba Dinh, Hanoi. Photo: Zing


Many interesting documents are presented such as the Declaration of Independence, photos of Ba Dinh Square on September 21945 the Political Thesis, leaflets published before the General Uprising

Besides documents and archives, many other artefacts linked to Vietnamese history are also on display. Photo: Zing


Visitors can read many stories about people attached to this historic moment, including that of Pilot Lieutenant Colonel Mai Kha Do who piloted an AN26 carrying goods and medicine to help people in Hue and Da Nang. Photo: Zing


The exhibition revolves around 3 main themes: “Historic Autumn”, “The Power of Confidence” and “In the Footsteps of Glory”. Photo: Zing

Some newspapers like Quan Giai Phong (Liberation Army), Cuu Quoc (Save the country), Su That (The truth)… published from 1941 to 1945 are exposed. Photo: Zing
