HCMC – The Ministry of Industry and Trade has approved the provisional electricity prices for 19 wind and solar power plants with a total capacity of around 1,400MW.
Among them, five are solar power plants and 14 onshore and offshore wind farms.
As of May 24, 25 out of 85 wind and solar power projects in the transitional period had reached agreement on temporary electricity prices after their negotiations with Vietnam Electricity Group, or EVN.
The Electricity Regulatory Authority of Vietnam announced that 37 among 85 investors had submitted the necessary documents to EVN for pricing talks.
Among them, 28 investors agreed on pricing methods, while nine still need more documents to meet legal requirements.
Some 48 remaining investors have not yet submitted their documents to EVN.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade had requested EVN and investors to urgently complete pricing talks and legal procedures to integrate these plants into the national grid.
