HCMC – The Government has decided to extend the 30% land use fee reduction for businesses, households and individuals affected by Covid-19 throughout this year.

The Government issued Resolution 07 yesterday, January 30, which enables Covid-19 impacted businesses, households and individuals who have taken land on lease from the state to continue enjoying a land use fee cut of 30% this year.

In mid-January, the Ministry of Finance proposed maintaining the aid through 2023 to accelerate economic recovery in a draft decree.

The new resolution also urged the ministry to finalize the draft decree and submit it to the prime minister.

Last year, Vietnam slashed land use fees by 30% for those affected by the pandemic to help them recover from the adverse impacts of the coronavirus. The reduction amounted to VND3,500 billion.
