NDO – The “Huon xua lang co” (Old Perfume and Ancient Village) opened in Phuoc Tich ancient village, Phong Hoa Commune, Phong Dien District, in the Central Province of Thua Thien Hue on July 23.

According to Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee Hoang Van Thai, within the framework of a series of summer festival activities in Thua Thien Hue province, the festival in Phong Dien district was held in the context that the whole country is trying to recover cultural activities and economic development after the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the inherent traditional values, which have been preserved intact after more than five centuries, the festival continued to affirm its position as a protected brand name nationwide, being an attractive and interesting tourist destination for domestic and foreign tourists to explore and experience, he noted.

Special cultural and artistic activities, including traditional and typical sports games, were held during the festival to honour the cultural and historical values of Phuoc Tich ancient Village as well as to promote the image of Phong Dien District to domestic and international tourists.
