At the recent conference "Provide information and exchange good experiences in state management of postal service", Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Anh Tuan said that despite many challenges we faced due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the postal industry still achieves an average growth rate of 20 - 30% in 2021. The Deputy Minister also said that the Postal Development Strategy to 2025 and orientation to 2030 will focus on promoting E-commerce and Logistics fields with market size of up to 70 - 80 billion USD by 2025, as well as promoting the transition of the postal industry from traditional services to digital services.
To keep up with the government's vision of turning the postal industry into an essential national infrastructure and digital economy, businesses in the industry need radical transformations. As a typical business, J&T Express has been actively implementing solutions that keep pace with the development trend of the industry.
In the past year, J&T Express has introduced J&T Fresh, a delivery service exclusively for agricultural and fresh products, as well as collaborated with UPOS, an online sales software helping confirm orders via live streaming. These activities have supported farmers and agricultural production households to simplify sales and solve the problem of product output and consumption thanks to the application of packaging specifications and modern technology, while also meeting objective 3 in the Postal Development Strategy of the Prime Minister: put agricultural production households on e-commerce platforms. Thereby, demonstrating J&T Express's strategic calculation in developing e-commerce e-logistics: comprehensively supporting the delivery of goods from suppliers to consumers through e-commerce transactions.
In addition to developing technology and expanding services in accordance with the strategy, having standard transit hubs is an important key in ensuring timely delivery for businesses. This is the reason why J&T Express decided to invest in building the leading modern and large transit hub in Vietnam with an area of up to 60,000 square meters, capable of handling over 2 million packages of all sizes and types, willing to meet peak shopping demands while decreasing delivery time and increasing customer service.
Besides the domestic market, the J&T International service of J&T Express has officially deployed delivery to more than 200 countries and territories from Asia to the Americas such as Japan, Korea, the United States, Canada, etc. From January 7th, 2022, J&T Express will also expand its network in the Middle East, specifically in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. This plan is a response of J&T Express to the increasingly popular "borderless" shopping trend, along with the demand for express delivery of goods in import and export activities in Vietnam.
With a methodical strategy to promptly respond to the constant change of the postal and delivery industry in particular and the digital economy in general, it is believed that J&T Express will enter 2022 with a proactive and ready attitude to create more new milestones on the journey of sustainable development.
