NDO – The Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia handed over 16,180 USD to the Khmer-Vietnam Association in Cambodia’s branch in Kandal province on December 9.

The money, which came from the Embassy’s Community Support Fund and the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank)’s Cambodian branch, will be used to support the repair of a school for local students and the construction of a new headquarters for the Khmer-Vietnam Association in Cambodia’s headquarters in Kandal province.

This is among the efforts made by the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia to support the construction of schools, offices and community houses for Vietnamese expatriates in Cambodia.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Huy Tang said that the aid aimed to improve the learning conditions of Vietnamese-Cambodia children and the working conditions for staff of the Khmer-Vietnam Association in Cambodia’s branch in Kandal province.

According to Nguyen Thanh Dung, Director of Agribank's Cambodian branch and head of the Vietnamese Business Club in Cambodia, Vietnamese investors in Cambodia always give priority to recruiting employees with Vietnamese origin and providing them with stable income, thus contributing to the development of Vietnamese communities throughout Cambodia.
