NDO/VNA – Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Phan Van Mai has proposed the German city of Frankfurt share its experience in urban development during his meeting with Mayor Peter Feldmann on November 6.

Specifically, HCM City hopes to receive sharing and support in terms of techniques and experts relating to its development plan with a vision to 2050, he said.

Mai said that HCM City and Frankfurt share many similarities as they are both big centres of their respective country, having goals of developing a modern and environmental-friendly city, building a society serving residents so people would make important contributions to the development of the city.

He also expressed his hope that the two cities would promote cooperation in education via collaboration projects and exchange programmes between youths along with expanding support for the training of human resources in the medical sector.
Feldmann said education, urban transport system development, building infrastructure for social welfare and improving people’s lives are the areas that Frankfurt desires to enhance its cooperation with HCM City.

He affirmed that Frankfurt would be ready to cooperate with HCM City in specific projects in the fields of education and trade promotion.
