NDO – The Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFFCC) on July 29 continued to allocate VND46 billion (US$2 million) from donated sources to support the control of the COVID-19 pandemic and the COVID-19 vaccine fund.
Of the total amount, VND23 billion was sent to the VFF of Ho Chi Minh City, while VND1.5 billion was allocated to the Vietnam National Children’s Hospital and VND1.5 billion for the Medical Station of Thuan An City in Binh Duong Province.
In addition, VND20 billion was allocated to the COVID-19 vaccine fund managed by the Ministry of Finance.
The VND46 billion was donated by Panko Group and Japfa Comfeed Vietnam.
The VFFCC has so far directed over VND1.04 trillion to the COVID-19 vaccine fund.
The VFFCC has asked receivers to use the funding in accordance with the provisions of the law and report their implementation results.
Since May 1, 2021, over VND6.78 trillion has been donated and pledged through the VFF from local to central levels to help in the fight against the pandemic.
