NDO/VNA – Vietnam logged 116 additional COVID-19 cases, including 115 domestic ones, from 6am to 12pm on June 30, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).

The new infections brought the national tally to 16,623, with 14,832 locally transmitted and 1,791 imported cases. The number of cases since the fourth wave of outbreaks that began on April 27 amounted to 13,262.

Fourteen localities have gone through two weeks without new infections in the community.

The sub-department for treatment under the MoH announced on June 30 that 6,764 patients have been given the all-clear, while the death toll has reached 80.

Of the patients who are still under treatment, 284 have tested negative for the novel coronavirus, 121 twice and 84 thrice.

In the context of complicated developments, the ministry called on citizens to follow the 5K message of the MoH, including khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering), and khai bao y te (health declaration), to help contain the outbreaks.
