HCMC - The HCMC government ordered the removal of 69 coronavirus checkpoints in the city from 5.00 p.m. today, on June 1.

The 12 main checkpoints and 47 auxiliary ones were set up at entrances to the city and at coach stations and train stations on May 15 to help forces control the coronavirus pandemic.

The governments of Thu Duc City and districts were told to consider establishing checkpoints based on the situation of Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.

If the local authorities need the help with forces, they should propose the municipal government for consideration.

As for the checkpoints in Go Vap District and Thanh Loc Ward in District 12, HCMC Vice Chairman Duong Duc Anh, the relevant agencies and the districts are considering the appropriate solutions.
