NDO – An inspection delegation from the National Assembly’s Standing Committee and the National Election Council, led by Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, General To Lam, visited the central city of Da Nang on April 19 and inspected procedures regarding its preparations for the upcoming elections of deputies to the 15th NA and all-level People’s Councils for the 2021-2026 tenure.

Da Nang city has so far completed three rounds of consultative conferences and residential confidence gathering for candidates for the NA and the municipal People’s Council.

Preparations for the upcoming election have been properly implemented with strict inspection and supervision. The allocation and guidance of agencies, organisations and units to introduce candidates has ensured progress and scheduling in accordance with election regulations.

Speaking at the working session, General To Lam praised the city’s prparatory work, especially the consultative process to nominate candidates who have meet the required criteria.

Da Nang should continue with the preparatory steps as planned, with a focus on ensuring the safety and security of the elections, he added.
