HCMC – Field Hospital No. 3 at the Sao Do University in Hai Duong Province has been dissolved after a month of treating Covid-19 patients, according to the provincial Department of Health.

On April 7, the department announced that the remaining 20 patients at the field hospital would be transferred to the Hai Duong Hospital for Tropical Diseases for further treatment, Lao Dong newspaper reported.

The department asked the provincial General Hospital to comply with regulations while transporting the patients.

Accordingly, patients who have tested negative for Covid-19 three times by April 7 will be discharged from hospital. The others who have tested negative for the coronavirus but are ineligible to be discharged will be transported to the Hai Duong Hospital for Tropical Diseases before it receives active cases to prevent cross-infection.

Medical agencies will later spray disinfectants at the field hospital and sterilize equipment at the quarantine and treatment areas in line with regulations so that Sao Do University can resume operations.

The third field hospital in Hai Duong has a surface area of over 5,230 square meters. It received 193 Covid-19 patients from its establishment on February 26.
