HCMC – Two Vietnamese and one Filipino who were placed in quarantine upon their arrival in Vietnam have been confirmed as the country’s latest Covid-19 patients, raising the country’s tally to 2,620 as of this evening, April 2, said the Ministry of Health.
Among them, a 32-year-old resident of Ha Tinh Province flew home from Angola through Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh Province on March 31. He is under medical treatment at a local hospital in Quang Ninh.
Regarding the Filipino man, aged 38, he works as a sailor for a container ship. On April 1, he arrived at the Van Don airport from South Korea and is being treated at the HCMC Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
The remaining case is a 24-year-old resident of Binh Duong Province. She returned home through Moc Bai International Border Gate in Tay Ninh Province on March 31 and is under treatment at a local medical center in this southern province.
Up to now, 2,383 coronavirus patients in the country have fully recovered. Fatalities remained at 35.
