Seminar participants said the COVID-19 pandemic contributed to accelerating the digital transformation in Vietnam. Mr. Dam said Vietnam had strengthened links between 20 hospitals nationwide before the epidemic occurred in Vietnam. During the epidemic, doctors were connected to give the best treatment to patients.
He said digital transformation should center on the people: “Digital transformation is a long journey that needs direction and patience. We need to identify areas for digital transformation focusing on health care, education, finance, banking, agriculture, transportation, energy, and the environment. All aim at ensuring social stability and improving people’s material and spiritual life.”
