HCMC – A huge fire broke out at a complex comprising four small warehouses covering 1,000 square meters of land in Vinh Loc A Commune in HCMC’s outlying district of Binh Chanh at 12.00 p.m. today, March 25.

The fire quickly raged on as the warehouses were stocked with inflammable materials. Despite the firefighting efforts, residents failed to extinguish the flames. A huge plume of smoke wafted across the area, frightening many people there.

The police of Binh Chanh District, firefighters and fire trucks were sent to the scene to put out the fire. At 1.30 p.m., the blaze was brought under control, the local media reported.

The competent forces cordoned off the warehouse complex to investigate the cause of the fire.

Earlier on March 24, another fire occurred at a wood workshop, which covers an area of 1,000 square meters, in Vinh Loc A Commune in the district, gutting the facility.
