-- The construction of the Vietnam – Republic of Korea Friendship Village at a cost of VND1.3 billion (US$56,000), funded by the Korean Cultural Center, on Tuesday started in the south-central province of Ninh Thuan, the Vietnam News Agency reported the same day.


-- Vietnam on Wednesday morning reported two new COVID-19 cases in the northern province of Hai Duong, increasing the country’s tally to 2,403, with 811 local transmissions since January 27, according to the Ministry of Health.

-- As a sailor aboard an Indonesian cargo ship passing Vietnam’s waters died of an unknown reason, the Center for Disease Control in the southern province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau took samples from 20 other crew members and found five positive for COVD-19 in the first test, the center said on Wednesday.
