Pakistani police on Friday briefly fired tear gas at thousands of protesters who were attempting to demonstrate at the French Embassy. In Lebanon, security forces fired tear gas to drive back some 300 protesters who marched from a mosque in the capital Beirut to the official residence of the French ambassador. Some 100 people gathered at India’s financial hub Mumbai to protest against the French president.
