In Quang Tri, 50 people died, 4 people are missing and 25 were injured as a result of the floods. The province has nearly 1400 hectares of ponds and lakes for aquaculture, more than 2500 hectares of flooded vegetables; more than 553000 cattle and poultry were washed away.
Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh said that the government and the prime minister always pay close attention and give many directions on search and rescue work. According to Truong Hoa Binh, the Prime Minister has decided to entrust the Ministry of Finance with the allocation of 5000 tonnes of rice extracted from national reserves to the five hardest hit central provinces. Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Nam and Ha Tinh will each receive 1000 tons of rice and 100 billion VND.
The Ministry of Defense also provided 22 tonnes of dry food. In addition, the Prime Minister agreed to provide an additional 40 billion dong to support the two mountainous districts of Huong Hoa and Dakrong of Quang Tri province, each of 20 billion dong to quickly stabilize the production and the lives of ethnic minorities. .
Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh instructed Quang Tri to continue to closely monitor weather forecasts, lead and deploy the work of settling the consequences of natural disasters. On this occasion, Truong Hoa Binh granted 200 million VND to support the Huong Hoa and Dakrong Mountain District Studies Promotion Fund, 100 million VND each, to help poor students overcome difficulties and provide gifts to students. families affected by flooding in Hai Dinh commune, Hai Lang district.
