HÀ NỘI — Shares rose on Wednesday morning thanks to a strong cash flow pouring in pillar stocks.
The benchmark VN-Index on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange gained 035 per cent to 91886 points.
It had risen 011 per cent to 91567 points.
More than 290 million shares were traded on the southern bourse, worth VND4.7 trillion (US$202.5 million).
A strong cash flow was poured into the blue-chip stocks, including PetroVietnam Gas JSC (GAS), rising by 3 per cent to VND74700 per share, Mobile World Group (MWG), increasing by 1.9 per cent to VND107200 per share, Vincom Retail (VRE), climbing by 1.1 per cent to VND27800 per share.
On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index was down 039 per cent to close Wednesday morning at 13724 points.
More than 34.2 million shares were traded on the northern exchange, worth VND481 billion.
