The project will be carried out by the Ministry of Defense’s High Command of Chemical.

During the Vietnam War, the American military used A So Valley as a field airport and a site to store toxic chemicals between 1961 and 1971430000 gallons of herbicide containing 11 kilos of dioxin.

Thua Thien-Hue was one of the most heavily affected places by dioxin in Vietnam. It is home to nearly 16000 people who were exposed to Agent Orange. A Luoi district alone has 5000 AO victims.
