According to VINASA President Truong Gia Binh, this award, launched for the first time, aims to encourage smart city projects and accelerate the country's digital transformation.
The organizing committee will reward the cities which have found the means to become more "intelligent", the residential and industrial real estate projects meeting the criteria of "smart city", and finally the technological solutions allowing the creation of cities, real estate projects and zones. intelligent industrialists.
The date for receiving applications from candidates for this award lasts until October 10. The awards ceremony is scheduled for November 172020 on the occasion of the Vietnam Smart Cities Summit.
Indeed, since 1 er August 2018 the Prime Minister promulgated the smart and sustainable urban cities development project for the period 2018-2025 and the vision 2030 with the objective of having six smart cities in six economic regions. So far, nearly 40 urban cities in Vietnam have plans to develop smart cities.
The Ministry of Information and Communication has also promulgated a grid of criteria for technology and information on the development of urban cities and a set of urban information indices of Vietnam. These are the legal bases in terms of information technology for the construction and development of smart and sustainable urban cities in Vietnam.
