Nestlé Vietnam’s MAGGI, SPC hold ceremony to honor chefs

HCMC – Nestle’s MAGGI Professional teamed up with the Saigon Professional Chefs Guild (SPC) to host the “Doing honor to chefs” ceremony on the International Chefs Day and the Vietnamese Women’s Day on October 20.

The event was held at the Nikko Hotel in HCMC, with the participation of representatives of the HCMC Tourism Association and the HCMC Department of Tourism, over 300 professional chefs, and international and local culinary experts.

The event marked a key milestone for Nestle Vietnam and MAGGI Professional on their journey of companionship with cooking in Vietnam, with the launch of the Chef2Chef2 program.

At the ceremony, MAGGI Professional signed a memorandum of understanding with SPC to support young chefs and promote the country’s culinary culture.

As a companion of the Saigon Professional Chefs Guild for many years, through the 2023-2024 strategic cooperation program, Nestle Vietnam and its brand, MAGGI Professional, commit to upskilling young chefs, holding competitions and creating playgrounds for chefs, and giving opportunities to chefs for their career development at home and abroad.

Speaking at the ceremony, Pham Son Vuong, chairman of SPC, said, “Over the past few years, many young people have shown their interest in cooking due to wide career opportunities and potential for advancement. Therefore, we are proud to join hands with Nestle Vietnam and MAGGI Professional to implement various meaningful programs to honor chefs. The cooperation is expected to create benefits for the community of chefs in Vietnam.”
