Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex: A perfect getaway for summer holiday in northern Vietnam

At the end of May and the beginning of June, Ninh Binh Province in northern Vietnam enters the rice season after a long period of rain, making it the perfect time for tourists to visit the Tam Coc - Trang An tourist area, a place of interest in the province.

Ninh Binh is a mountainous province located in the southernmost part of the Red River Delta, roughly 100 kilometers from Hanoi.

It is home to numerous prominent beautiful destinations, including Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, and the Tam Coc - Bich Dong landscape complex, and others.

Tam Coc - Bich Dong Landscape Complex is a part of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, which is located in Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District, approximately eight kilometers from the center of Ninh Binh City, the provincial capital.

UNESCO designated Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site in June 2014.

As visitors float down the Ngo Dong River, which winds through the ravines in the complex, the breathtaking terrain as well as beautiful yellow rice fields will gradually appear in the distance.

This location has also been featured in such blockbuster movies as 'Blood Letter,' 'Tam Cam: The Untold Story,' and 'Kong: Skull Island.'

From May to July, Tam Coc's rice paddies become the most picturesque.

After stressful hours of work, visitors can come here to admire the wonderful surroundings and take a deep breath of the fresh aroma of ripe rice.

Visitors can take a stroll to the Thai Vi Temple area or climb to the top of Hang Mua (Mua Cave) in addition to observing ripe rice via waterway from Tam Coc Wharf.

Travelers will be able to catch the entire Tam Coc scenery from the peak of Mua Cave, which is a must-see when visiting Ninh Binh.

The vibrant yellow color of ripened rice is complemented by poetic lotus ponds.

It is fortunate for holidaymakers since the golden rice season coincides with the blooming of the lotus flowers in Ninh Binh.

There are several magnificent lotus ponds in the Mua Cave tourist area, as well as along the roadside of Tam Coc - Bich Dong, where travelers can stop to rest and snap pictures.

Visitors can readily encounter friendly images of goats grazing in their natural habitat.

Co Vien Lau (Vietnam Ancient Village), which is next to Tam Coc Wharf, is an ideal location for photographing nostalgic scenes, as it is an ancient village designed in the style of northern architecture, with numerous old buildings, communal houses, and ancient items.

After a series of unique cultural activities, if there is still time, visitors can explore the Tam Diep pineapple hill.
