HÀ NỘI — Hundreds of artworks by more than 200 artists will be presented at Art For You – the only affordable art fair in Viet Nam, from today.

Organised by Manzi Art Space and Work Room Four, the 14th edition of the art fair will introduce to art lovers more than 400 pieces of artwork ranging from sketches, paintings, prints to sculptures. 

According to founder of Manzi Art Space, Tram Vũ, the global pandemic has left everyone with exceptional challenges and as people live through these unprecedented times, the arts and cultural sector is rocked by the way the pandemic has unfolded across the world in 2021.

“Creative industries have been severely impacted by the pandemic, and many cultural organisations have been forced to close their doors and artists halt their practice, due to lack of funding and a huge dip in the market. Artists, and the spaces that house them – galleries, studios, community art spaces – have been adversely affected by even greater cuts in funding and financial support,” she said.

“Art For You was founded with the ambition to remunerate artists for their work and support independent art spaces in Ha Noi. It is at this time more important than ever to consider how art lovers can support the local artistic community by being a patron of the arts, no matter how small,” she added.  

At Art For You, prices begin at US$25 and are capped at $900 to make this event accessible for all.

Viet Nam’s only affordable art fair originates from an idea of Manzi Art Space and Work Room Four in 2014. They wanted to work together to organise an art fair, with a focus on young to mid-career contemporary artists, showing smaller pieces of work – that were more affordable – in the hope to stimulate the art market and be able to remunerate artists for their work and support independent art spaces in Ha Noi.

Seven years later, this small idea has now grown into an anticipated art event trusted by artists and audience alike. Art For You has consistently strove to nurture and develop a network of more than 200 artists and sent more than 2,500 works of art into people’s homes across Viet Nam and to many countries across the globe.

Art For You is a thoughtfully displayed and well curated selection of Viet Nam’s most exciting talent and ensures that both seasoned and novice buyers of art find something extraordinary to take home.

Art For You 14th Edition takes place from 9.30am to 8pm everyday at Work Room Four, 31/67 To Ngọc Van Street, Tay Hồ District, until December 8. Free admission. VNS
