HCMC – The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has introduced a scholarship program for international students, with 170 scholarships worth over US$1 million being offered to international students during the 2021-2022 period.
The program is part of UEH’s efforts to increase the number of international students and create opportunities for international learners to study, exchange, share experiences and enhance their learning skills in a multi-cultural educational environment.
These 170 scholarships comprise 100 undergraduate scholarships, 50 graduate scholarships and 20 scholarships for PhD students.
The scholarships will be granted during the official training period of the program. Students will be given 50%-100% tuition and accommodation fees based on the type of scholarships, including the Distinction Scholarship, the Full Tuition Scholarship and the Partial Tuition Scholarship.
For the Distinction Scholarship, learners will be awarded the scholarship throughout the official study period.
As for the Full and Partial Tuition Scholarship, UEH will annually evaluate the academic performance of learners to adjust the type of scholarship. This policy is expected to motivate learners to study hard to maintain their scholarships.
To register for the scholarship program, applicants must meet the following requirements: international students who are not Vietnamese citizens, those having secured admissions to the UEH full-time undergraduate program (including Standard and Advanced Programs) and learners who are not under the Exchange Treaty and have yet to receive any scholarship in Vietnam before.
To create favorable conditions for applicants, UEH will select eligible applicants through their admission documents. Applicants will be considered based on their academic achievement in high school from top to bottom until the amount of the scholarships is met.
Professor Dr. Su Dinh Thanh, president of UEH, said that UEH offers a good education and research environment for all people. Aimed at creating optimal conditions and supporting learners, the school has launched many scholarship programs for international students.
