The US fast-food chain’s latest venture allowed customers to enjoy the Year of the Tiger in the Metaverse. They may see Humberto Leon’s “one-of-a-kind collection of zodiac animal designs.” Customers may also obtain horoscope readings based on their birth date, which provide insight into their next year.

Leon is a Chinese-Peruvian American whose artistic perspective is heavily influenced by his multi-cultural background. McDonald’s, he said, “has always been committed to embracing and celebrating the universality of all cultures.”

He added:

“Kicking off Lunar New Year with McDonald’s in a way that underscores the creativity and innovation of the Asian American community makes me proud to offer a true expression of my identity and the influences that have shaped it, to which I know many will relate,”

Elizabeth Campbell, McDonald’s Senior Director of Cultural Engagement, believes that the Year of the Tiger is the ideal moment for her business to enter the Metaverse since it represents “bravery, strength, and confidence.”

Following that, the fast-food chain and Leon will create a television commercial including the designer’s views on favorite Lunar New Year customs.

The event, also known as Chinese New Year, is one of the major festivals in most of Asian countries. It symbolizes the beginning of the new lunar cycle, and the festivities might last up to 15 days.

The American corporation, recognized as the world’s largest fast-food chain, has suddenly become a household name in the crypto meme culture. Members of the community frequently utilize the firm’s symbol to embroider it on those who may lose their assets if the digital asset market falls. The meme’s premise is that McDonald’s will always hire someone who is looking to get back on their feet.
