In the report on the implementation of the Long Thanh international airport project, which has just been sent by the Government to the National Assembly, the project of Long Thanh airport will be started in 2021.

Accordingly, the progress of project appraisal and approval is slow compared to the previous requirements because this is a very large and complicated project, so the International Verification Consultant (NACO – CONINCO – ARUP – AEC) completes the appraisal report inspection slower than expected (far completed). At the same time, due to the Covid -19 translation, during the verification and appraisal process, the concerned units and individuals cannot meet to discuss directly, but must do indirectly through online meeting and collecting opinions in writing so the verification and evaluation need more time.
