HCMC – Becamex Infrastructure Development JSC, which trades its IJC shares on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, will issue some 35 million shares to pay the 2021 dividend to its shareholders.

With the stock dividend payment at a ratio of 16%, shareholders will receive 16 new shares for every 100 shares held, the local media reported.

The real estate developer will begin its issue in the first quarter of 2023 after getting the nod from the State Securities Commission.

The issue will raise the firm’s chartered capital to VND2.5 trillion.

Between January and September last year, the firm posted VND1.76 trillion in revenue and VND483 billion in after-tax profit, down 24% and 13% year-on-year, respectively.

Closing the session today, January 6, IJC lost over 2.6%, ending its two-session winning streak.

Investor caution and poor performance of many bluechips dragged the VN-Index of the HCMC exchange down 4.38 points, or 0.41%, from the session earlier, at 1,051.44, with 121 gainers and 274 losers.

Nearly 689.5 million shares worth VND12 trillion changed hands, up 29% in volume and 30% in value against the previous session.

Among bluechips, the consumer goods company MSN, rubber group GVR and real estate company PDR plunged sharply.

Lender LPB stole the limelight as the stock shot up to its upper limit and took the lead by liquidity on bourse with a matching volume of over 46 million shares.

On the Hanoi bourse, the HNX-Index slid 2.45 points, or 1.15%, from the previous session, at 201.65, with 57 advancers and 110 decliners.

All big-cap stocks but securities firm MBS closed the session down or at the reference price.

Construction firm CEO, oil and gas firm PVS, industrial development firm IDC and property group HUT fell by over 3%.

Securities firm SHS became the most actively traded stock on bourse with 16 million shares changing hands, but took nosedive.
