HCMC – The Ministry of Transport on August 18 revoked the general aviation business license of Globaltrans Air Services Corporation as it failed to submit dossiers to have its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) approved.

Globaltrans Air must address transport contracts and financial obligations relating to the aviation business in line with the law, the local media reported.

Earlier, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) had proposed the Ministry of Transport withdraw the license.

The Ministry of Transport granted a general aviation business license to Globaltrans Air in 2015 for the first time. On April 17, 2018, the ministry renewed the license.

However, Globaltrans Air has yet to get the AOC.

Under the Government’s Decree 89/2019/ND-CP on the aviation business, a general aviation business license will be cancelled if the service provider is not granted the AOC within three years of receiving the license.

A CAAV representative said the authority had informed Globaltrans Air of the cancelation of the license if the company failed to get the AOC. However, Globaltrans Air did not respond.

Globaltrans Air was established in July 2014 in HCMC with a charter capital of VND100 billion.
