During the course of the online meeting, representatives from the Vietnamese trade office in China exchanged information and answered questions put forward by craft associations and enterprises relating to the process of exporting goods to the Chinese market.
Nguyen Minh Lam, vice chairman of the Long An People's Committee, said China represents a huge market for import-export activities among local firms. Two-way trade value between Long An and China reached US$1,280 million last year, of which US$380 million was generated from exports.
MoIT Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Khanh noted that Vietnamese goods have made inroads into several countries and territories worldwide, and China remains Vietnam’s largest trade partner.
The MoIT will continue to organise similar event to provide relevant information on export opportunities to China and other countries in the future, said Khanh.
