On the afternoon of November 23, at the seminar “Solutions for rooftop solar power in industrial and commercial zones in Vietnam” by the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) for the first time in collaboration with the Association of Businesses Ho Chi Minh City Industrial Park (HBA) organized, Mr. Tran Thien Long, Vice President and Secretary General of HBA, said that enterprises in export processing zones, industrial parks and high-tech zones are very interested in electricity. roof sun. This field is also growing impressively in the Vietnamese market.
According to Mr. Long, the HBA renewable energy and rooftop solar power development program was established and implemented from October 2019 with the goal of responding to the call of the Government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Electricity Vietnam on promoting the use of rooftop solar power in export processing zones, industrial parks and high-tech zones to save electricity, ensure energy security, reduce consumption of natural resources and protect environment. In particular, HBA appreciates GIZ’s publication of the Solar Rooftop Investment Guide and believes it is a valuable and reliable document for businesses to refer to when planning to invest or is implementing this model at the facility.
With the same view, Mr. Sven Ernedal, Project Manager of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (4E), GIZ Energy Support Program (ESP) said that with the successful cooperation between GIZ and HBA, there will be practical contributions to the development of solar power, making solar power a reliable, affordable and sustainable energy source for the commercial and industrial sector in Vietnam.
In addition, GIZ wishes to expand cooperation with HBA in the future in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency in general, as well as industrial and commercial rooftop solar power in particular.
At the seminar, experts provided and introduced to enterprises in export processing zones, industrial parks and hi-tech zones in Ho Chi Minh City about the document “Investment Guide for rooftop solar power system Commercial – Industrial sector within the framework of “Rooftop Solar Pilot Project”.
In addition, there is a set of four additional contract templates for different business models for rooftop solar PV developed under the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Project (4E) / Support Project. Vietnam – EU Energy Sector Technical Assistance (EVEF).
Representatives of the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) Business Board also introduced about EVNSOLAR – a rooftop solar power platform developed by EVN, providing comprehensive solutions for homeowners. roof-top businesses that have a need to develop rooftop solar power projects.
In particular, EVN is currently cooperating with partners to exploit the potential of renewable energy, namely, the development of rooftop solar power in export processing zones, industrial parks and high-tech parks in HCM City.
