From now to the end of the year, with power source projects, the group will complete power generation of two units of Thuong Kon Tum Hydropower Project, Se Solar Power Project, according to information from Vietnam Electricity (EVN). San 4.
In addition, EVN will complete the selection of contractors and bidding packages to strive to start the expanded Hoa Binh Hydropower projects, Quang Trach I Thermal Power and common infrastructure projects for turbine power plants mixed gas Dung Quat I, III.
Regarding investment in the construction of power grids, this year, EVN will closely follow the locality to solve problems of compensation for site clearance, focus on constructing 500 kV transmission line circuit 3 Vung Ang – Doc Soi – Pleiku 2.
EVN also focuses on implementing key projects, including: projects serving connection and testing of BOT thermal power plants of Hai Duong, Nghi Son, Van Phong; projects to release the capacity of renewable energy sources; projects on hydropower clearance in the Northwest and importing Laos’ electricity; power supply projects for additional loads in 2021.
According to the report of EVN, on investment and construction of power source projects, in the first nine months of 2020 the Group has put the Duyen Hai 3 expansion project into commercial operation; issue the certificate of temporary acceptance of PAC for the expanded Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Project; Acceptance of the whole project and put into use the Phuoc Thai 1 solar power project and perform calibration experiment to prepare power generation of Se San 4 solar power project.
In the first 9 months of 2020 the Group has started 107 power grid projects and completed energizing 100110 – 500kV grid projects (including: 12500 kV projects, 11220 kV projects, 77110 kV projects).
In rural, mountainous and island power supply, EVN inaugurated a project to supply electricity by submarine cable 22 kV across the sea to Nhon Chau island commune, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province; energizing 22 kV submarine cable across the sea to Tran island (Co To district, Quang Ninh province) and grid electricity for Cao Bien village, Phu Thuong commune, Vo Nhai district – the last hamlet of Thai Nguyen province to be supplied with the national grid.
From now to the end of 2020 EVN will continue to operate safely, stably and reliably the electricity system and market, optimally mobilize the power plants in the system, closely follow the load situation, and changes weather – hydrology and ready to respond to adverse situations.
In particular, the group is ready to actively prevent floods and storms, ensure the safety of dams and dams and hydroelectric works; respond to minimize damage, quickly overcome consequences of natural disasters, ensure safety for downstream areas in rainy season.
The Group actively propagates about the implementation of safe and economical electricity use measures among the people; safe and reliable operation of the transmission grid, especially the 500kV North – South grid system.
