
NDO/VNA – Vietnam was a guest of honour at the first virtual international economic fair in Algeria, which is running from September 13 to 27.
According to Vietnamese Trade Counsellor in Algeria Hoang Duc Nhuan, the Vietnamese delegation consists of the Vietnamese Trade Office in Algeria, the State-owned Hanoi Trade Joint Stock Corporation (Hapro), and the An Thai coffee group. Other countries participating in the fair include the US, China, the UK, India, Indonesia, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates. Abderraouf Mounir Doudi, head of the organisers, Andalus Trade, Show, Exhibits & Events, said the fair is a venue for companies and businesspeople from across the globe to meet. Customs figures show that Vietnam’s exports to Africa totalled 312 billion USD in 2019 up 8.1 percent against 2018.
