New Zealand Education Fairs come back with valuable scholarships for Vietnamese students

The event is co-organized by Education New Zealand (ENZ), New Zealand Embassy (in Hanoi) and New Zealand Consulate - General (in HCMC), bringing together more than 40 institutions including New Zealand's secondary schools, universities, The New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology (NZIST), English Language Provider (ELP) and Private Training Establishment (PTE).

Joining New Zealand Education Fairs 2022, parents and students will be consulted one-on-one with school representatives on study options in line with each individual student’s orientation and capacity, as well as be updated on supporting policies for international students. At the same time, students in Vietnam will also have access to a range of valuable scholarships at various levels of study, including government scholarships, individual school scholarships, scholarships offered exclusively for Vietnam, and other special scholarships – announced and applied only to students attending New Zealand Education Fairs 2022.

This year, visitors at the fairs also have opportunities to communicate with representatives of New Zealand Embassy, Education New Zealand, and Immigration New Zealand to get updates on the latest policies to study in New Zealand. Concurrently, there will be workshops around topics of interest to Vietnamese parents and students, such as: career orientation in the context of Vietnam and global labor markets, Aotearoa New Zealand Lightning Talks: Sustainability - Education NOW for FUTURE Impacts, vocational training in New Zealand, English preparation for overseas study.

Some other activities at the Fair include: Ask NEW Anything (parents and students will be able to chat directly with former international students about their experience of living and studying in New Zealand, as well as useful tips for studying abroad preparation), Me & My Future Job (self-discovery corner of career orientation), product corner and attractive gifts from New Zealand, etc.

Tredene Dobson, New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam, said: “Education has always been at the centre of the New Zealand – Vietnam relationship. It has fueled development and trade connections but most importantly – it supports our people to people connections. New Zealand’s borders officially opened to all students on August 1st. We are so looking forward to welcoming back the hard-working capable students of Vietnam who bring with them the vibrant Vietnamese culture. We are also looking forward to restarting our scholarship programmes specifically for Vietnamese students in the near future.”

Mr. Ben Burrowes, Regional Director, Asia at Education New Zealand, said: “Overcoming the challenges posed by the pandemic, we are now focused on rebuilding and reshaping our international education industry towards sustainability with a variety of innovative approaches. In that context, we are ready to welcome back students from all over the world to New Zealand, and ensure that international students enjoy the ultimate benefits of a New Zealand education whether they choose to study onshore, online, or via joint programmes."

“New Zealand's education is not only known for its world-class quality, but also for its student-centred educational philosophy. It is also a safe, friendly, and welcoming environment. We hope that the New Zealand Education Fairs 2022 will be a great opportunity for students and parents to learn and experience New Zealand education’s aspirations, and from there, make informed choices for their future”, added Mr. Burrowes.

Parents and students are encouraged to register in advance to ensure check-in procedure to the fairs is conducted quick and efficiently. Registration link: https://bit.ly/NZEduFair1-2
